How you should be?
We are seeking a QA Engineer with end-to-end quality ownership for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript, strong manual testing skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with UK-based clients in a high-delivery environment.
What you will do?
- Perform functional and non-functional testing of web and mobile applications using manual and Playwright-based automation, covering UI, regression, integration, cross-browser, and responsive testing.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Perform mobile testing using Playwright and manual testing techniques.
- Conduct API testing for REST services using Postman/Swagger.
- Execute accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and usability guidelines.
- Apply AI-based testing approaches to improve automation stability, execution efficiency, and test coverage.
- Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA/Azure DevOps, ensuring clear root-cause analysis and closure.
- Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test execution reports, defect reports, and release status reports.
- Provide periodic QA status reports to stakeholders and clients.
- Work independently or as part of a team, taking full ownership and accountability for assigned modules and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and clients, with daily client interaction and clear, professional communication.
- Support release activities, including smoke testing, regression validation, and QA sign-off.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
What we are looking for?
- Hands-on Playwright automation with TypeScript (mandatory).
- Solid experience in manual testing of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience with AI-based testing tools or techniques (self-healing automation, test optimization, analytics).
- Good knowledge of API testing (REST APIs).
- Strong understanding of test design, execution, and defect management.
- Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent client communication skills, with experience in daily client interactions.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in UK shift (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST).
Certifications:
- ISTQB Certification – Mandatory
- Automation testing–related certification (Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent) – Mandatory
- ISTQB Test Automation Engineer – Good to have
