Data Analyst / BI Developer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst / BI Developer who excels at transforming raw data into meaningful business insights. In this role, you will build and maintain reliable dashboards and data pipelines that support data-driven decision-making. You are analytical, curious, and capable of translating complex datasets into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders. You value data accuracy and consistency and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams while mentoring junior team members.

What you will do?

BI & Data Visualization

• Design & Development: Build and maintain interactive, high-performance dashboards using Power BI (primary), with occasional use of Tableau or Metabase.
• Insight Delivery: Develop internal and customer-facing visualizations that simplify complex datasets and improve decision-making.
• Optimization: Continuously tune and troubleshoot reports to ensure maximum usability and reliability.
• User Support: Provide guidance to business users to help them interpret dashboards and key metrics.

Data Engineering & Modeling

• Data Architecture: Develop and maintain analytical data models by integrating sources such as databases, APIs, and cloud storage.
• Pipeline Management: Build and scale data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT practices and tools (e.g., dbt).
• Advanced SQL: Write complex queries (CTEs, window functions, optimized joins) for efficient data processing.
• Automation: Automate repeatable analysis and validation workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Strategy & Business Impact

• Problem Solving: Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights.
• KPI Management: Define and maintain consistent KPIs and reporting logic across the organization.
• Advanced Analysis: Perform exploratory, ad-hoc, and impact analysis (e.g., before/after studies) to support strategic decisions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings to leadership and cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between technical data and business value.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentorship: Support and mentor junior analysts in SQL, data modeling, and dashboard best practices.
• Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to deliver data-driven value.

Who Are We Looking for?

• Technical Expertise: 5-6 years total experience with Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI.
• Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to identify trends and patterns in operational and engineering data.
• Communication: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to create compelling "data stories" for stakeholders.
• Execution: High ownership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Tools: Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Metabase, or Looker.
• Programming: Exposure to Python or R for data analysis and automation.
• Innovation: Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Snowflake Intelligence, GitHub Copilot).
• Domain Knowledge: Experience with SaaS, logistics, or compliance datasets.
