From Bytes to Beats: A Radixweb Story

Published : Apr 19, 2022
Radixweb’s Rap Swag

Rap has long been popular, from the global hit "Lose Yourself" through the mumble rap and pop-rap crossovers of the late 2000s. However, it hasn't always reached the masses. The preferences of a select few–mostly older, white, and male radio and record-label tycoons–often governed distribution and, as a result, popular success. So, we at Radixweb thought of dabbling in the art form that so many love so dearly.

Rappers can now generate music more easily than ever before. Simply create a beat on a computer and add a voice note, and you've got the beginnings of a song. But, especially during the most recent period of pop-star domination, the breadth of its impact across quantitative and cultural metrics now marks a new age. "Everything we do is done with great enthusiasm, and what better way to talk about Radixweb than with an OG rap drop!" We simply stayed true to ourselves. It had only recently begun to connect. It's going to start growing now.

At Radixweb, our in-house rap lyricist explains, "It's all about time. Rap, like digital transformation and digitization, has been quietly but steadily gaining ground. We're influencing a whole new wave, a whole new style, and a whole new flow of creativity infused with tech as a corporation. Consistency has been the key to Offset's rise. We don't just go through the motions."

It's impossible to discuss rap as a genre without addressing themes of race and class, and in this time of deep division, it's understandable that people are turning to music for solace. The obstacles to entry, whether as a fan or an artist, are lower than they've ever been, and those who have made it are more visible than they've ever been, thanks to social media.

For kids, becoming the next Eminem and ascending from the streets to hip-hop royalty is a new fantasy that we have witnessed as a company. Radixweb's growth has been rapid, from a two-room mini-business to a 70,000-square-foot workpalace with over 550 employees, and our executives are the ones to thank.

Young-driven music trends have always existed, and today's youth taste skews toward the specific and authentic. There is a need for more complex art. It is, nevertheless, more relatable art for many listeners.

And, just like other genres, rap offers a wide range of styles. Rappers sing about parties and sports vehicles, but they often reflect on their remarkable rise from obscurity to superstardom. Furthermore, hip-recent hop's ascendency means that people have more visibility and have more freedom of speech.

Even if a few of rap's rising stars are well-off, the genre's most powerful voices have strong origins in overcoming adversity. Rap has always been a venue for people to express themselves about the world as they perceive and experience it.

The fact that it's now the new normal is a victory for voices that haven't always had their own platforms but now do.

This rap is about Radixweb's culture, and we're confident that the blue army will have you bopping to the beat! So if you too want to be part of our techie hip-hoppers, then check our current openings, and let’s create another similar content like this.
