"Yoga is not just about touching your toes, it is about what you learn on the way down." This simple thought sums up what International Yoga Day means to us at Radixweb. It is not about being the most flexible person in the room; it is about showing up for yourself, even for a few minutes, in the middle of a busy workday.
On 19th June, Radixians paused their screens, stepped away from their desks, and came together for a session that was equal parts mindful and mischievous. Because at Radixweb, wellbeing is never treated as a once a year checkbox. It is something we genuinely care about, and yoga day just gives us a fun excuse to lean into it a little more.
Let's be honest, a desk job does a number on the body. Hours of sitting, eyes locked on a screen, shoulders creeping up toward the ears without us even noticing. Stiff necks and aching backs are practically a side effect of the job we love. That is exactly why this session was not just a one-off event for us. It was a reminder that small stretches through the day can make a real difference to how we feel by evening.
The evening began on a calm note with pranayama and the soothing sound of om chanting filling the room. It set the tone for everything that followed. From there, we moved through a mix of asanas, vajrasana, vrikshasana, tadasana, virabhadrasana in both its forms, vasishthasana, and ustrasana. Each pose brought its own benefit, but together they helped with better posture, stronger balance, and a much needed release of the stiffness that builds up from sitting all day.

It is the kind of practice that does not just stay on the mat, it carries into how we sit, move, and focus through our daily work and life.
Once the stretching wrapped up, things got a lot more playful, because that is just how we roll. One game had everyone lined up, running ahead, and freezing into a yoga pose the moment it was called out. Whoever struck the pose first and reached the finish line first, basically tagging Radixweb, won the round. Watching people sprint and then suddenly attempting a perfect tree pose mid run was easily one of the funniest parts of the evening.

Then came the game everyone still talks about. Picture this, a circle of Radixians holding chair poses, thighs burning, trying their best not to wobble. One person runs around the circle with a pillow and passes it to someone standing in a position. That person now has to get up, run, and pass it to someone else, all while everyone else holds their pose. Anyone who could not hold steady long enough was out. It sounds simple on paper, but add in the laughter, the friendly trash talk, and a few dramatic wobbles, and it turned into one of the most entertaining team moments we have had in a while.
Wrapping Up with a Boost of Energy
By the time the session wrapped up, everyone was sweaty, smiling, and honestly a little more energized than when they walked in. A round of refreshing energy drinks rounded things off nicely, the perfect way to close out an evening that mixed mindfulness with a whole lot of fun. This is just one small piece of what we mean when we talk about Life at Radixweb. It is not about perfect poses or touching your toes. It is about taking a breath, having a laugh with your team, and remembering that work and wellbeing can comfortably sit on the same day.If stories like this make you curious about what it feels like to actually work here, we would like you to take a closer look.
