The Challenge and The Solution

Running professional training at large brought a familiar set of problems for our Ireland-based client. Courses, schedules, educators, and salon teams were handled separately through continuous manual coordination. As the program grew, it became harder to track schedules, handle payments cleanly, and maintain visibility across locations.

Our mobile app engineering team was hired to build an application with a single control layer. Each user group received focused workflows, while administrators managed courses, pricing, and reports from one console. A well-designed backend, data model, and payment paths replaced manual processes and prepared the company for expansion.

Can you explain your role at the company and what you do there?

I’m in charge of the software and handle ongoing coordination around other digital services. I work as a software administrator.

What were you looking to achieve with Radixweb?

We hired Radixweb to build our booking app and the admin console for ACCADEMIA, our education booking platform for hairdressers and beauty professionals across the UK and Ireland. Our goal was to have a single system where courses, bookings, users, and payments could be managed properly.

What did the project cover? Please include a summary of the key deliverables.

The scope of their work mainly covered developing a Student Booking App – allowing users to browse courses, book classes, view schedules, manage payments, and track their learning journey. This included a Teacher App that enables educators to manage their classes, take attendance, update course content, and view bookings, a Salon/Business App for providing tools for salons to book training for their teams, manage staff participation, and track course history, and an Admin Console – a centralized dashboard for managing courses, sites, teachers, pricing, schedules, reports, and overall system configuration.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

By the time of this review, about 80% of the mobile apps and admin system were built. We could test the main booking features, like browsing courses and signing in. Key parts of the system, such as course management and teacher management, were working. The design and screens for the apps were completed, so we could test how everything looks and works. Our early testing showed that most main features were working correctly, and we were close to starting full end-to-end testing.

We were able to see steady progress and address issues as they came up, which made the partnership feel practical and dependable.

How would you describe Radixweb’s project management and their responsiveness throughout the engagement?

Their project management was very good. They tried to keep the work on track, and some parts were delivered on time. When delays happened, they did explain the reasons, mostly on our side. They replied to my questions and needs, and they were willing to make changes when I asked. Overall, they were very helpful.

What was your primary form of communication with Radixweb?

We stayed in touch through a mix of in-person meetings, virtual calls, and regular communication over email and messaging apps, depending on what the situation required.

What stood out most to you while working with this company?

Being closely involved gave me confidence in the direction of the platform and the decisions being made.
