Radixweb’s collaboration with a prestigious jewelry business led to a remarkable migration and modernization of their SaaS eCommerce application, transforming their online sales strategy and customer engagement.
Hello, I am Dipesh, the technical product manager of a renowned Canada-based jewelry brand. When we partnered with Radixweb, the vision was crystal clear – to revamp our SaaS eCommerce app, improve security and functionality, migrate large volumes of data to a new server, amplify business reach, and attract a global audience. Radixweb stepped in with their technical expertise and creative fineness to bring our vision to life. And they surely did so with precision!
“Their upbeat approach and highly knowledgeable team enabled us to optimize our processes and deliver great value to our clients.”
“The terrific team at Radixweb displays a great commitment to delivering innovative and quality solutions that meet our specific needs.”
The innovative stuff they pulled off is amazing. Our shop is reaching a whole new crowd now. Team dedication? Top-notch. They're the reason our online game’s so strong now.
As the stage was set, it was time for the client company to elevate the digital shopping experience by migrating and modernizing their eCommerce app. Harnessing the latest technologies like Angular and .NET Core to create a platform that not only showcases their opulent collections but also provides a seamless, user-friendly, and visually captivating interface.
The project delved into recreating the app’s frontend and backend, rebuilding the app’s architecture, optimizing its performance, integrating high-end security measures, and redesigning the database, - all to ensure an immersive and secure shopping experience. The partnership was a fusion of creativity and technology where the artistry of jewelry-making met the technicality of application modernization.
Hey! Absolutely. Our business is all about crafting exquisite jewelry pieces known for their heritage and timeless appeal. Our headquarters is located in Ontario and we have physical stores all over Canada.
I’m the technical product manager and my role involves overseeing the technical aspects of our eCommerce application.
Sorting the tech challenges was quite a ride. Our previous app lacked the fineness and functionality needed to showcase our brand mission and vision effectively.
We struggled with slow loading times, an outdated interface, a database that was growing in volume, and updating our collections seamlessly. Also, addressing the evolving security needs for online transactions was a concern as well.
We conducted thorough research and scouted for a software development partner who could align with our vision. Radixweb's reputation for delivering highly customized and quality solutions for the SaaS eCommerce industry caught my attention.
So, after going through their portfolio and reading a few impressive case studies, we knew they were the ones!
Radixweb swooped in with a comprehensive approach. They meticulously revamped our eCommerce app by addressing each and every pain point we had.
The project was divided into three phases – rebuilding the frontend of the app including the entire buying process, CMS, customized homepage, central search, and SEO standards. For the backend, the task was to create an admin section and MIS for seamless integration of our internal operations and our business partners. Lastly, we planned to move the application from Azure VM to Azure CDN, Web app, and Blob to improve its performance and capacity.
The Radix team did a bunch of useful things for us. They basically gave our application a complete facelift.
Before starting the project, they clearly outlined their approach to the security, performance, and accessibility of the platform. Security and performance criteria were clear before the start of the project. They implemented a 3-layer security model - User, Screen, and Record level. On top of that, additional token logic was also implemented to avoid any type of leakage. We used JWT token-based authentication with the encryption mechanism and used OWASP top 10 standards.
For data Migration, there is a huge database with old technology such as MVC. They rebuilt the entire application using Angular, .Net Core, and the Rxweb Architecture. We also had to redesign the database and introduce new tables for better performance to handle the old system data. Finally, they prepared migration scripts for proper data migration.
Working hand-in-hand with Radixweb was an enriching experience. Their innovative solutions brought a new dimension to our app.
Oh, they made a world of difference. Rebuilding the SaaS eCommerce app that optimized our operations and improved delivery was a technological achievement in itself. Radixweb provided us with the instrumental support we needed to achieve this success and that allowed us to provide more support to clients more efficiently and effectively than before.
All these led to better user experience, reduced bounce rate, increased engagement, and ultimately boosted sales. Due to faster load time and intuitive design, we could also see a significant uptick in conversions.
Although there could be some improvements made in terms of project estimations and timelines, Radixweb did a fair job altogether. We used Redmine as the project management tool where we prepared the project specifications and the development team coded and verified them based on the specification.
Every sprint started with details requirement understanding and ended by providing a demo of functionality to the client to avoid any kind of risk which are going on live.
What impressed us the most was the great commitment displayed by the terrific team at Radixweb to delivering innovative and quality software solutions that meet our specific needs. Their upbeat approach and highly knowledgeable team enabled us to optimize our processes and deliver great value to our clients.
The overall experience was good and productive, thanks to the team's prompt responses to questions and willingness to address any concerns.
I might have a few things to say. Firstly, define your project and business needs as a whole. This will help you avoid major revisions or modifications in the later stages of development. Most importantly, trust their skills. They're flexible enough to adapt to your requirements and deliver beyond expectations.
