Please tell us about your organization and your role in there

We are a manufacturer of custom stationary products based in USA. I am the chief executive officer of the organization.

What business challenges were you trying to address with Radixweb?

We were looking for a reliable website development agency that could provide us with an eCommerce website with a range of customization and personalization features for customers, so they could design their products online. The goal was to expand the scope of our business with a client-centric approach.

We had hired a domestic company to do that, spent $35,000 with them, and they could not give us a basic, functioning product. That's when we started searching for other companies and came across Radixweb. We checked their portfolio and past works, which seemed to fit just right for our project. And so we delegated our project work to them.

Describe the scope of their involvement in your project.

Radixweb started to work on the existing website again from scratch, basically rebuilding what we had built before with the last provider. They used an eCommerce space platform, and ours was a totally custom solution. We uploaded all the images and text, and they did the coding. We guided them along the way, but the development team completed all the technical work.

The initial project lasted for four months, and we continuously get an upgrade from them twice a year. We have spent about $40,000 with them so far.

How did the partnership impact your business?

Numbers really speak for themselves, don't they? Hiring their development team really had a positive impact on our business. We have typically grown in the 30% range per year since we started working with Radixweb. Our bounce rate has dropped significantly, and the average time spent on the page has increased on average. On the other end of the spectrum, with regard to usability, it's been great. We don't receive bug reports very often, and even when we do, Radixweb is able to fix them as quickly as possible for us.

In terms of project management, how did Radixweb perform?

They are always within the budget. A lot of the time, we will make a lot of changes to a project. They adapt to those changes and give us what we want. They are always pretty much on the cutting edge of web development, and whenever they come up with an upgrade, we typically upgrade our website to reflect the new enhancements they've come up with.

We were very instrumental in helping them conceive their design studio to make it simpler for the customer. Each time there was an upgrade, we have been involved in giving them feedback from our own customers, and they have adjusted accordingly and ended up passing that to their other customers, too.

What distinguishes them from others is that they know how to talk to you on a more personal level. We are not programmers; we have no earthly idea how to program. We will give them a concept from an elementary perspective. They take that idea and run with it. They don't overwhelm us with technical details; they simply get the job done and explain it in simple terminology.

They have a strong program built into their structure. If you want to summarize it into a couple of words, from Radixweb’s perspective, nothing is impossible. If you can dream it, they can pretty much put it together.

What was the best thing about working with them?

I am definitely most impressed with the management. We have had the same project leader since the day we started. He is a terrific individual that has made our life a lot simpler. He may be in India, but we consider him part of our core team because we are very reliant on him, and he's been so helpful to us. As we find things in the process of the upgrade, we will send screenshots to them, which illustrate what we're looking for and what we want to change. We have shown them other people's websites, and they've stepped up to the plate and designed, essentially, what we're seeing on our competitors' websites.

Is there any area Radixweb could have improved?

At first, we received a lot of work that had bugs, which made us delay the project and things of that nature. But once we brought it up and they put in a quality assurance team that started going through the website thoroughly before it was presented to us, all that went away. We did not run into any bugs at all after that. If we did find anything, it was minor. That's been a gigantic improvement. Apart from that, I can't think of anything that they could do to improve. Whatever they have done has made them the ideal company for us.
