The task at hand was a strategic migration of a traditional platform to a cloud-based recruitment solution. It involved a complete rewriting of the legacy codebase, software refactoring, data migration, and integrating microservices.
Zenith is the brainchild of our client - a digital HR management platform that automates searching, hiring, and recruiting workflows to save time and money. They’re on a mission to simplify the recruitment experience and make it incredibly easy for Australian IT companies to find the perfect talent.
Despite their extensive client base, the rigid and outdated architecture of the platform was making the recruitment process increasingly slow and complicated.
The databases were archaic and frequent downtimes often disrupted operations. The lack of modernized features substantially reduced workforce productivity and performance. With a non-sustainable system in use, getting a competitive edge in the volatile job market was a tough nut to crack.
Hence, meeting the demands of a global workforce was difficult as there was minimal or no sync between various teams at different locations. This adversely affected their business growth. Moreover, using an age-old system came with its set of challenges as mandatory tasks like software updates and installations were becoming cumbersome. Every system needs proper support and maintenance to last long, but the legacy system lacked adequate maintainability.
Moving to the cloud is a must. Outdated technologies simply can’t keep up with modern-day business requirements. When the client took the first call with us, we immediately knew cloud would be the best possible solution to tackle their burning problems.
Backed by a team of cloud experts, Radixweb has worked on numerous complex and challenging recruitment management software projects and delivered the desired outcomes. Leveraging that expertise, here are the solutions our team provided for the Zenith team:
The project started with our cloud consulting team conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the existing infrastructure to pinpoint the bottlenecks of the legacy system. This initial phase set the foundation for a seamless transition where we could align our approach with the client's business objectives and ensure the cloud recruitment software met their scalability and performance requirements.
In proposing the .NET development solutions for the cloud-based software, the reasons were its robustness, versatility, and inherent compatibility with Microsoft Azure, the cloud platform of the client’s choice. The modularity, scalability, and comprehensive set of libraries, tools, and features of the .NET framework allowed us to easily break down the monolithic structure into microservices.
Integrating third-party solutions to augment the functionality of the cloud system was a must. This strategic software integration included a secured digital signature feature, Stimulsoft for custom report development, Broadbean to discover optimal candidates from various job portals and post job listings across diverse platforms, and SMS notifications for timely updates for both recruiters and candidates.
Implementing tools like Prometheus and Grafana, we established a robust monitoring system to track the health, performance, and security of the cloud recruiting platform. Continuous optimization ensured cost-effectiveness, and automated alerts allowed us to swiftly respond to any anomalies. This helped us consistently maintain the system's reliability and accessibility.
The impact of the cloud-based recruitment software was immediate, fueled by cutting-edge features including:
Using advanced machine learning algorithms, the system delivers precise and real-time candidate recommendations. This streamlines the recruitment process by matching companies with preferable talent.
Built on a microservices architecture with cloud resources, the system ensures unparalleled scalability so that it can adapt dynamically to varying workloads and address growing demands.
To empower recruiters and hiring managers on the move, the mobile-accessible platform provides flexibility and convenience. It allows them to manage processes anytime, anywhere, and on any device.
Integrated with robust security measures, including data encryption and compliance features, the web-based recruitment software ensures the highest level of confidentiality and protection for candidate data.
The cloud-based system offers comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities to enable recruiters to gain valuable insights into recruitment trends, performance metrics, and strategic decision-making.
Reduced Time in Maintenance
Faster Processing and Response Time
Cut in Overall Infrastructure Costs
The cloud architecture, tailored workflows, scalable infrastructure, and analytics have all led to an optimized user experience and boost in recruitment efficiency. The overall benefits were substantial, which helped the client develop new offerings and expand their market reach.
Before
The legacy system needed extensive manual interventions and frequently went through hour-long downtimes for routine maintenance tasks. The outdated architecture made updates and modifications a cumbersome process.
After
With the transition to Azure, maintenance became a breeze. The modular structure allowed for independent updates and reduced downtime dramatically. This has resulted in a 60% reduction in time spent on system support and maintenance.
Before
The conventional system struggled under heavy workloads. It has sluggish response times and prolonged recruitment cycles. Teams were not able to make quick decisions due to the lack of real-time results.
After
The implementation of real-time candidate matching transformed the recruitment process. The new cloud software slashed the response times by 46%, and the time-to-hire reduced from an average of 15 days to only 4 days.
Before
Since the old system had performance gaps, it led to a suboptimal user experience. Recruiters faced delays in accessing crucial information, which impacted their ability to make informed decisions.
After
The shift to a scalable cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture vastly improved system performance. Work efficiency times saw a remarkable boost, with a 53% reduction in latency. Teams from different locations experienced a unified and responsive platform.
Before
The traditional server-based model incurred high infrastructure and maintenance costs. The lack of scalability resulted in over-provisioning and inefficient resource utilization.
After
The cloud-based solution optimized costs through dynamic resource scaling, with a resource allocation process based on demand. This resulted in a 35% reduction in infrastructure costs and a 1/3 decrease in overall operational expenses.
Radixweb's forte is that they stay on the cusp of everything new that’s coming out, and as such they continuously come up with ideas of how we can improve elements within our infrastructure. Their cloud team has been a huge help, and we wouldn’t be where we are without them.
