Radixweb developed a time-management application through positive affirmations
Hi. I am Raffiel, owner of an Africa-based tech startup. Our purpose for collaborating with Radixweb was to build a high-performing mobile application that would support our clients' continuous uploading and downloading of data. They helped us actualize our vision by creating the logo and developing the ultimate product based on our finalized prototype. All dynamics of their work resonated perfectly with me.
“Radixweb paid close attention to detail, delivering high-quality work that aligned with the original vision.”
“They were a trustworthy, dependable, and smart team.”
Despite working in different time zones, there was still a strong level of trust between our team and Radixweb.
Angola-based tech startup was looking to enhance its services' quality via technological breakthroughs and developments. Their primary goal was to create a robust application that would help its users with time management and make them more productive throughout the process.
Having a clear understanding of the project, Radixweb started by designing a logo and organizing the development tasks that would fit the new project objectives. They used basic PowerPoint sketches to create mock-ups for the time management tool, and once the screens were finalized, they built the final product and integrated it with APIs.
We are a new tech venture based in Africa. Our business involves a time-management tool that helps users track their work time, analyze workflow, boost productivity, and much more.
I am the owner of the company.
Startups go through a lot of hustles. It essentially means curiosity and follow-through at their peak. The heart of our business is a mobile app that needed the best shot at development. I had an idea of how I wanted the platform to look and function, but I didn’t have the technical experience to build it. I needed a software partner to handle the development process.
So, I searched for development vendors on Google and reached out to 12 companies scattered around the globe. In my first interactions with Radixweb, they seemed willing and eager to work with me, which helped me make my decision. They seemed like a nice team, so I was confident in moving forward with them.
Oh yes, absolutely. I shared my requirements with Radixweb, and we worked together to scope out the project, assign a team of resources, plan weekly timelines and milestones, establish a reporting system, and decide on the technology to use for the build.
They started with the logo. Radixweb provided several options, and I picked the one I liked best. After that, they created a few more iterations to incorporate all of my feedback. I showed them my basic PowerPoint sketches for the user interface, and they turned those into mock-ups. Once we finalized the screens, their team started development. Radixweb integrated a few APIs with the tool. One of them syncs the app with our website to facilitate continuous data uploading and downloading for our users.
We worked on this project from April to October 2018. We paused for a bit after establishing the scope so that I could gather the budget. We were also scheduled to finish sooner, but I came up with some new ideas and requested additional changes, which added another month or two of work. They charged an hourly fee of $25, which was a lot more affordable compared to other software development firms. In total, we spent close to $40,000.
I planned to officially launch the app in March 2019; thanks to Radixweb, we were not late. It’s currently live in Angola, but we have a few things to do before we release it into the European market, like GDPR compliance.
Based on my experience, Radixweb was a reliable and professional team. They’re a nearly perfect partner. It can be difficult to pass on a personal idea to an outside developer, but everything they delivered aligned with my vision. I felt completely understood. All aspects of their work, from the logo to the final product, resonated with me. They’re great listeners.
With an innovative and organized approach to the project, Radixweb successfully completed the project.
I can say yes without any hesitation. I worked with four different teams from Radixweb throughout the project. I interfaced with one or two people for each phase—logo, iOS development, Android development, and web development. There was a project manager for each component, and all of them were super-responsive.
We used GoToMeeting for day-to-day communication, and Radixweb sent weekly progress reports via email. They clearly detailed what they were working on and what they’d completed. Someone from their team was always available to meet or talk online so that we could resolve any issues as quickly as possible. They truly handled everything.
I am most impressed with their project management, communication methods, reporting, and team management – each of these fields was very positive. Their knowledge of Microsoft-based CMS and mobile apps was pretty admirable and provided great insight to our team.
Radixweb strictly follows the client’s ideas and requirements rather than adding their own details. As such, anyone working with their team should be clear about what they want and provide as many details as possible from the beginning of the consultation phase. In the end, you get what you ask for with Radixweb. Because I was only looking for an IT partner to execute my development plan, they were perfect without any room for complains.
According to Raffiel, this was his first time working on this kind of project, and given Radixweb’s solution and expertise, he can’t really compare it to any previous experiences. Overall, he is very pleased with the partnership. Our development skill, together with the momentum of change, manifested itself in the firm and started their innovation game at full pace.
