Working Smarter, Faster, and Safer

It might seem impossible to create a digital platform that beautifully integrates all of business and customer requirements, but when you invest in a cloud Content Management System, sometimes referred to as a SaaS CMS, cloud-hosted CMS, or cloud-based CMS, your vision can become a reality.

The UK-based firm and its team collaborated with Radixweb with the same vision. Together, they created an all-inclusive CMS platform that offers the capabilities of traditional CMS solutions while enabling the firm to make the best use of the increased functionality and scalability that cloud-based solutions offer.

Let's briefly go through the conversation:

1. Please tell us about your company and your role.

This is an IT consulting and cloud productivity company that specializes in cloud software development.

I oversee the operations of the business as a Technical Director.

2. Why did you hire Radixweb? What were your challenges?

our in-house team needed additional resources and expertise to help us develop websites using DotNetNuke (DNN) and Sitefinity as CMS platforms. The goal was to integrate new functionalities and increase its scalability for future use.

3. How did you come to work with Radixweb?

They happened to contact us when we were looking for a team of dedicated developers who had experience with Sitefinity. We went on to use their services for a smaller project, which we used as a trial to see if they would be a good fit for this project in the long run. We were pleased with their work, so we continued the relationship.

4. Can you please tell us about the scope of their involvement?

Although Radixweb was not involved in the gathering of user requirements, they fully started working with us in the requirements analysis process. They also worked with our in-house web designers to generate a wireframe of the UI, ensuring that the designs were compatible with the DNN and Sitefinity platforms.

Once the website designs were completed, they moved on to the development and testing stages. Final tests were deployed in a staging environment that supported remediation activities after the user acceptance testing had already been facilitated.

All of the sites have master pages that define the overall website, and users are able to edit content and make changes to the page layout as well. There’s also an option to display current events on a scrolling news ticker, which definitely is an eye-catching feature for the end-users.

They were always flexible if we needed to prioritize a certain feature or make changes to their deadlines.

5. Would you say Radixweb performed well from a project management standpoint?

I think they performed really professionally. The project manager had a tech background, so he was able to guide early discussions and make sure that our goals were attainable. Their team had an Agile approach to project management, which allowed our team to provide feedback and influence the pace of development throughout the entire process.

Besides, they gave us a timeline with estimated dates of completion, but they were always flexible if we needed to prioritize a certain feature or make changes to their deadlines. We communicated frequently via email, phone, and online conferences. They provided well-structured status updates, and they were always quick to clear up any of our uncertainties.

6. Did this engagement have a positive impact on your business?

Well, yes. They delivered technically sound CMS solutions that allow us to provide a wider range of services to meet our clients’ needs. The Radixweb team began working on the project in July 2015 and has worked on numerous projects for us since then. Eventually, we were able to deliver a quality user experience to our clients with intuitive features and modern functionalities.

7. What's the most impressive thing about Radixweb?

I could think of many but the best one among them would be Radixweb’s diligence. The team is very conscious of deadlines and they always resolve issues quickly.

The Firm’s Final Words

I'm constantly reminded of how much Radixweb goes above and beyond to help us. We got the best supporting team, without a doubt. Although they were from a different organization altogether, working with them was easy. We productively established the roles that both of our teams will play during the project and maintained frequent and clear communication throughout.

The understanding and rapport between the client company and Radixweb were commendable which is why the engagement lasted for such a long time covering multiple high-quality projects. Switching to a cloud CMS platform brought a number of opportunities for the firm, including smoother collaboration, improved security, higher speed, automatic updates, and much more.
