Posted on Sep 19, 2011

OnPrintShop notches up a successful stint at recently concluded high vantage event, Graph Expo 2011, held at Chicago, USA.

From the first day itself of the event, OnPrintShop team met up with printers who were upbeat about web to print. We had a steady flow of visitors inquiring about customization possibilities with our web to print solution. The onsite demo was a big hit with printers discussing ground level issues with our team and wanting to know how the solution can address them. From curious walkers by to potential customers, the OnPrintShop stall recorded a high activity rate.

Our team of business consultants also had a busy event wherein they sat down for numerous project consultations. They held detailed discussions with many a printer and mapped their business processes to the solution. For the more enterprising ones, our consultants displayed several unique but executable business models. “We really got the adrenaline rushing through a few of them when we showed them how some of their counterparts were using web to print in different business models across other continents”, informed Pratik Mistry, Head Global Business Development, OnPrintShop-Radixweb. The excited printers also explored the possibilities of an on-demand-service and on-premise solution with our consultants.

In addition to customer interaction, Graph Expo also opened the doors for some B2B networking for OnPrintShop team. “We had quite a few of our industry peers walk into our stall and discuss web to print with us. We are certainly looking forward to striking some mutually beneficial strategic alliances with them”, revealed Dharmesh Acharya, COO, OnPrintShop-Radixweb. When questioned over what was OnPrintShop’s biggest gain from Graph Expo, Mr Acharya instantly replied, “The industry-wide thought leadership. Web to print is fairly new for a lot of markets where apprehension still rules. But at Graph Expo, leading web to print players came together and deliberated on important issues. OnPrintShop to Present Corporate Module and Upgraded Designer Studio at GRAPH EXPO
Posted on Aug 12, 2011

OnPrintShop web-to-print storefront will roll out its two new upgrades, corporate module and Flex based online designer studio, at GRAPH EXPO 2011, Stall 967. A pinnacle trade exhibition event for graphic communications industry, GRAPH EXPO will be held from September 11-14, 2011 at Chicago, USA.

Book your appointment for live solution demo and free consultation at http://www.onprintshop.com/graphexpo and get free tickets.

OnPrintShop, a web enabled prepress solution from India based Radixweb, has come up with several exciting solution upgrades over the past 6 months. But the most awaited one has been the corporate module which empowers even small sized printers to target high profile corporate segment. The print service providers can now host corporate client specific products and templates on their website while setting up special prices and offers for them. The client login ensures that only authorized users have access to these products. Every single order goes through an approval cycle with immediate superior authority before the printer gets informed about it. “What worries corporate clients the most is representation of their brand identities like logos and colors. In our corporate module templates, these things can be made non-editable. The users can only fill in their personal credentials. They cannot play around with things like logos”, informs Dharmesh Acharya, COO, Radixweb. The print service providers can also maintain separate corporate portfolios with order details and account balance in the backend.

In addition to this module, OnPrintShop has also upgraded to a new Flex based online designer studio. The new designer studio introduces layers in the designing process which increases the manageability of the design for the end users. They will also find the new tool panel quite exciting to use. But what really sells the point for Flex designer studio is its ability to break out of the regular stationary products and enter into merchandising products. “The end users can use the Flex designer studio to design and personalize products like coffee mugs, mouse pads, key holders, refrigerator magnets, and like. It allows printers to break the status quo of traditional print products and explore new product segments”, asserts Mr. Acharya.

When asked about availability of both the upgrades, Mr. Acharya maintained that they would be available immediately after GRAPH EXPO. “In fact, we are already pitching the Flex studio to our existing customers and migrating them. Once the migration of all existing clients is confirmed we shall pull the plug on old studio support”, revealed Mr. Acharya.

Radix Completes 11 Glorious Years of Successful IT Outsourcing
Posted on Jul 21, 2011

Celebrations knew no bounds when Radix completed 11 successful years in the IT outsourcing industry. The event was marked by fun, fireworks, flowers, and sweets accompanied by lots of smiles.

In an industry that is known for its ruthless competition, Radix’s success story seems almost like a fairytale. Given its industry standing today, it’s hard to believe that Radix had a very modest beginning with only a handful people. A decade ago when some industry veterans came together to explore the then nascent offshore development market, nobody had imagined that their endeavor, named Radixweb, would span across years. But Radix has not only survived different business cycles but has emerged as an institution in itself. “It has been quite a journey so far. When we started it was almost like a family unit working hard together to realize a dream. We had a vision that we wanted to make reality. And now after 11 years although we have grown in team size, we still work as a family unit”, says an ecstatic Dharmesh Acharya, COO, Radixweb.

Today, Radix presents an impressive portfolio of technology related services which includes PHP, DotNet, Ruby on Rails, Flex, and open source frameworks like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and more. They have further expanded into mobile application development with experts for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, and Windows mobile. “We have often been referred to as pioneers of embedded solutions and device drivers. But today on our 11th anniversary we pledge to take our system programming services to another level”, informs Nitin Vaishnav, CTO, Radixweb.

While it would be interesting to see what the future holds for Radixweb, for now it’s time for proud Radixians to revel in their hard earned success.

The solution has a Flash based online designer studio that allows the end users of print houses to design their own products online and personalize them.

Its advanced e-commerce suite supports multiple languages, currencies, payment gateways, and shipping options. The solution also offers a corporate module with secure storage for digital assets. But what makes OnPrintShop a real hit is the customization possibilities and availability in both dedicated and hosted (SaaS) versions.

After a successful run at PrintPack India 2011, IndiaSoft 2011, and CeBIT 2011, OnPrintShop will look to steal the show at Graph Expo also. “We are looking forward to Graph Expo. We consider this to be a great opportunity for us to touch-base with some elite printers from the Americas”, comments Mr. Dharmesh Acharya, COO, Radixweb. This being the fourth event for OnPrintShop in 2011 the solution appears to be on a high. “We would definitely look to repeat our success of PrintPack, IndiaSoft, and CeBIT at Graph Expo. In all previous events we had quite diverse audience segments. But we still earned a lot of fans. We are now eyeing the Americas and are confident that we shall be well received”, informs Mr Acharya.

But print service providers is not the only segment OnPrintShop is targeting at Graph Expo. “We are interested in forming some meaningful business coalitions at Graph Expo. So we will definitely focus on some B2B networking as well”, revealed Mr Acharya.

Print Industry Goes Green with OnPrintShop
Posted on Jan 14, 2011

OnPrintShop, a web to print storefront launched by Radixweb, is all set to turn the printing industry eco-friendly. The solution is geared up to introduce ‘green printing’ to the world.

Environmental issues have hit our generation pretty hard. We are being plagued by a number of ecological concerns. Global warming and diminishing forest covers are just a few of them. Businesses worldwide have taken note of this and have undertaken various campaigns as part of their corporate social responsibility. Radixweb’s OnPrintShop is a valiant attempt towards making printing an environment friendly activity.

Printing industry witnesses a huge wastage of paper in the process of color setting. OnPrintShop, being a prepress process, delivers a print ready PDF file which reduces the wastage of paper and results in savings for the print house. “With OnPrintShop, all the document corrections and color adjustments are done in a web browser which then generates digital output. This practice alone can generate savings of about 3 times in paper”, affirms Ravindran VC, Head of Global Business Development, Radixweb. Since the final output is digital in nature it can be transmitted over the internet and helps you save paper in fax or post.

OnPrintShop also allows the customers to print only the quantity needed in stationary or marketing collateral, thus saving in unwanted printing. The ease of reordering grants customers the option of getting things reprinted if required. “With OnPrintShop you get the facility of reordering easily. So, you don’t need to have material preprinted in large quantities. You can always come back and reorder and save on paper”, informs Mr Ravindran.

It is quite an effort to turn the printing activity into an eco-friendly activity. “We have always known printing to be a paper heavy activity. The concept of green printing can seem to be kind of a paradox. But with OnPrintShop it has been turned around now”, asserts Dharmesh Acharya, Chief Executive Officer, Radixweb.
